How does billing work?
Plans are billed monthly in Naira through Paystack, on your normal card, and a plan switches on as soon as the payment confirms. You can upgrade any time from the dashboard. To move to a smaller plan, contact us. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens if I go over my plan's allowance?
On paid plans, extra emails bill at your plan rate per 1,000, shown in the table. On Free, sends past 3,000 draw from your wallet at the pay-as-you-go rate, and sending pauses when the wallet is empty. We email you at 80% and again at 100% of your allowance, and we never throttle you silently.
Do you really absorb exchange-rate changes?
Yes. Every price is set in Naira. When the dollar moves, that is our cost, not yours, so the price on this page is the price you pay.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, and it does not expire: 3,000 emails a month, no card required. Emails on Free carry a small SendByte footer, which every paid plan removes.
Does marketing email cost extra?
No. Campaigns, lists, segments and signup forms are included on every plan, including Free. Your plan sets how many brands and subscribers you can hold, and campaign sends draw from the same monthly allowance as your transactional mail. There is no second subscription.
How do campaign sends count against my allowance?
One email to one subscriber is one email, exactly as on the API. A 5,000-recipient campaign uses 5,000 of your monthly allowance. Marketing goes out on a separate sending reputation, so a campaign that collects complaints cannot hurt the delivery of your receipts and passcodes.
What happens if I reach my subscriber limit?
Adding a subscriber past your limit is refused with a clear message rather than billed, and everyone already on your lists keeps receiving mail. Upgrading raises the limit immediately. Scale has no subscriber or brand limit.
